City Life

Today we (Me, Hayley, and Mrs. Taylor) went to the city!*gasp* I know! I was shocked too! (I don’t get out much, especially not to the city.) It was a rainy day to day, but meh, still had a good day. We went for fun, more or less, and fun it was. First of; Mrs. Taylor had to go to the hair dressers. So Hayley and I wondered round aimlessly for about forty five minutes. We went to Target and Myer and other various benign places. Then when Mrs. Taylor finished having her hair done, we went to Luis Vuitton and Gucci, because Hayley and I had never been to either of them. So for a sort of School work thing, we did price checking to find out what’s the most expensive thing in the store. In Luis Vuitton, the most expensive thing you could buy was a leather handbag for eight thousand dollars. The least expensive thing you could buy was two little cubes (dice with Luis Vuitton written in them) to hang on your mobile, they were three hundred dollars. Than we went to Gucci, to see if they would beat Luis Vuitton. The most expensive thing in Gucci was a mink handbag with ostrich skin handles for ten thousand dollars, so it did beat Luis Vuitton. I don’t think we remembered to ask what the least expensive thing was. Ah well, next time. Then Mrs. Taylor went to have lunch with Robin. And Hayley and I had lunch at McDonalds. After lunch we went up to the Art Gallery. Outside the Art Gallery There was a man playing the saxophone, so we sat down and had a listen to him. He was really good! It was beautiful to listen to on a rainy day. Then we went into the Art Gallery. They had a very some very interesting exhibitions on. There was a photography exhibition on. I thought it was crap. It was disturbing and creepy, because it was about homeless people. Now disturbing and creepy I can handle, but theses photo we just crap! Angles were crap, lighting was crap. There was only one or two that actually looked reasonable. Well that’s my opinion anyway. There was a fashion exhibition on which was nice. And there were some other exhibitions that were good too. After walking through the Art Gallery, Hayley and I got some hot chocolates, from the café. Then once we finished them, we took the train home (because Mrs. Taylor wanted to do some other things near the city.). We were picked up at the train station by mum and David. And that’s what happened today.

Tomorrow the Perth International Festival starts! The opening is at nine o’clock, on the swan river, the part at the end of Williams st. I think. And there doing all kinds of stuff on the water, and there’s going to be fireworks. The Festival is going to be really fun! Hayley and I are going to go to a lot of the free stuff with mum. I can’t wait!

X Elizabeth.
